how do you code quotation in FORTH ?🤩 Is there a book on Factor ?
venezia replied:
In fact, we can do anything at compile time, including quote and unquote. But what we can do after compiling into Bitcoin opcodes is very limited. The implementation of Factor itself can call an anonymous function (a quote) at runtime. Currently my implementation needs to know all the parameters of the anonymous function at compile time, so it is not very useful. https://youtube.com/watch?v=_IgqJr8jG8M

When are we going to get to use it? :)
venezia replied:
I hope we can use a sequence data type, likes array or list, in the first release of this tool. It seems possible. : ) Currently, the tool only let you define a word like : main 1 [ 1 + ] [ 2 + ] [ 3 + ] tri ; Compiled into: "OP_1 OP_1 OP_ADD OP_1 OP_2 OP_ADD OP_1 OP_3 OP_ADD" Still a long way to go.
